The initiation of social work at Madugula goes back to 1986 starting with mother and children’s care, immunization and care of T.B patients. Soon the work shifted to women empowerment programmes initiating SHG groups and then in hand with “Balavikasa” an organization from Warangal. This helped the women to be self reliant and financially responsible persons in the family.

It didn’t take long time for the women to be independent and begin with its own society registering itself as St. Ann’s Navajeevan Sravnthy Mahila Sangam in the year 2010. Presently it holds 1600 women with 150 SHG groups.

Collaborative Educational Initiatives with Government Schools

In addition to establishing study centers in rural villages, our team actively engages with nearby government schools to support and motivate students. Regular visits are conducted to interact with children, offering motivational sessions that incorporate interactive elements such as games and music to make learning enjoyable.

To date, our efforts have reached 16 government schools, providing encouragement and fostering a positive attitude towards education among students. The primary objective of this initiative is to inspire underprivileged children to remain committed to their studies and to instill strong moral values that will guide them toward becoming responsible and impactful individuals in society.

Future plans

Promotion of Organic Farming for Sustainable Agriculture

In addition to its core activities, the society is committed to empowering local communities through the SHG women,   by addressing environmental challenges and promoting sustainable agricultural practices. A key focus is encouraging farmers in the region to adopt organic farming methods, aiming to rejuvenate soil health and produce nutritious, chemical-free crops.

Through this approach, the society aspires to cultivate a generation of farmers who are not only stewards of the land but also active participants in building a sustainable and resilient agricultural future.
